Dana LeDuff Slaughter, MS, is a certified Functional Medicine Health Coach with over a decade of experience in integrative and clinical wellness. With a master’s degree in integrative nutrition and advanced training through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and Functional Medicine Coaching Academy, she specializes in translating complex health science into accessible, sustainable lifestyle strategies.

She has led clinical operations and patient-centered coaching within a physician-guided integrative practice since 2014, supporting personalized care across diverse populations. As the founder of Vital Nest, she blends evidence-based nutrition with a holistic, lifestyle-first approach that bridges science, strategy, and sustainable behavior change to help individuals build lasting health from within.

Kenneth Slaughter

Founder

Ken is a personal chef, wellness advocate, and former New York City first responder. His approach to cooking transformed from creating nostalgic indulgences to serving beneficial nourishment after gaining a deeper understanding of what is real food and what has become normalized as food, overcoming several of his his own health struggles along the way. Though formally trained, he practices and teaches intuitive cooking and mindful eating.

As cofounder of Vital Nest, he provides support and guidance in taking the steps to live a more natural way.
